Create, Unpack, and Repack CupX Files

Version 2.0.35 Released 6th February, 2024

IMPORTANT NOTE:- A significant BUG is squashed in Version 2.0.20 of CupX Tools, which prevented any images from showing in the LX Nav device. I recommend that all newly generated .CupX files are checked in the excellent LX Nav SIM app prior to being flown with. The Sim available from the LX Nav website. The new version of the SIM is much easier to install and use, as it comes with downloadable mapping for most of the world.

CupX Tools is a FREE app that gives glider and soaring pilots who use Naviter's Oudie or LX Nav's LX8-9000+ devices for navigation an automated method of adding Google Static Map images to their .cup (SeeYou etc) or .lxc (Lx Nav Airport) files. The waypoint file is then combined with the images to create a .CupX file.

Any existing images in a CupX file are automatically preserved, and Custom Images can also be easily added, and from Version 2.0.12 (released 30th of November, 2022) onwards, any missing elevations in a waypoint's data is now accurately added to the waypoint file. This feature alone is a valuable addition to flying safety.

A unique feature is that a Latitude and Longitude "Boundary Box" can be enabled or disabled to produce just a sub-set of your waypoint file's entries. This is very useful if you only wish to include waypoints for your next 1000km flight, rather than every single one in a big country like Australia.

I have had immense issues in uploading updates to the Microsoft Store recently since they "improved" their Visual Studio software, so please download the zipped file of the latest version with the link below and unzip it to a folder of your choice. Visit this website before you use CupX Tools on a regular basis to ensure you have the very latest version.
